#5 - Thoughts on Winnipeg Zoomer Slumlords bragging about raising low-income housing rent during the Pandemic in a viral video

Hello friends!! Thank you for tuning into the fourth episode of the Tiny Moments Podcast. Today's episode is a little different. Today my friend Danilo AKA @infinityzan and I discuss our thoughts on a video that went viral last week of some Winnipeg Zoomer Slumlords bragging about raising low-income housing rent during the Pandemic. The building they bought and flipped was my mom's home - and my home from 2008 until 2019. When this video was brought to my attention, I posted my thoughts on my Instagram story and the whole situation went viral on Instagram, YouTube, and Reddit.

I hope if anyone listens to this, they take away three main things. One, that if you're going to make business moves and find wealth and success at the expense of others.. you probably shouldn't brag about it on a public video for everyone to see unless you want people to offer their opinions. Two, that just because you follow someone on social media it does not mean you know them or what goes on behind the scenes. And three, that people living in poverty aren't able to just "find a way to make more money" for VARIOUS different reasons including being disabled, having mental illnesses, having an injury and being unable to work, and being part of a system that wants to keep them down. It's not always that simple.
