3 Things I’m Doing to Get Organized This Fall
Summer is coming to a close… and honestly I’m kind of excited about it.
Before you come for me, let me tell you why.
While this summer has been amazing and full of adventure, YOUR GIRL IS TIRED!
I feel like summer is always a time to have fun, let loose, relax, and just embrace the laidback vibes. I definitely did a lot of that this summer, but I also launched a business amongst so many other creative projects in June, and if I’m being real, I’m ready to get into productive work mode again.
I’m also super excited to dress for fall – it’s my favourite season for outfits! But I really did love all of the summer dresses I wore this year, so I’ve sprinkled some of my favourites from Style Bar Winnipeg throughout this blog post.
But without further ado, here are 3 things I’m going to do heading into the fall to get organized:
1. Create a solid work routine
This summer I wanted to be more spontaneous, so I made a lot of last minute plans with friends, tried to be outside as much as possible, and slacked a little bit when it came to my morning/work day routines. September is a reset month for me and I want to make sure I have an organized routine because I find I’m most productive this way!
2. Journal every day
I really fell off my journaling wagon this summer, but it is sooo important to me that I prioritize it every day! I usually start by writing out my goals for the day, my affirmations, and then whatever I feel called to write about. Even if I only spend 10 minutes doing this in the morning, it helps me feel more put together for the rest of the day.
3. Cooking healthy meals / meal prepping
Summer in Winnipeg, where I live, is a time where everyone wants to hit up the patios. We only get a solid 3-4 months of good weather here, so of course we want to take advantage! But by going to patio restaurants at least twice per week, I got tired of eating out so often. This fall I want to prioritize cooking healthy meals and having nutritious snacks in my fridge, ready to be snacked on!
